You have made a decision that something needs to change. That awareness is an important and necessary first step. The second step for many is seeking out a Therapist or Life Coach. There are many reasons why people come to therapy or get a coach, sometimes it is in response to anxiety or depression, or you may be dealing with a life transition such as divorce or career change. It may be for personal growth, to gain insights into behaviors, or simply to have support. Whether the goal is gaining insights into what brought you to this point in your life, processing and letting go of emotional blocks, or focusing more on goal setting and having someone to hold you accountable, I can help you.
Utilizing therapeutic modalities that include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Interactive Guided Imagery, and Emotional Freedom Techniques I will act as your guide, helping you identify your inner strength and resources and supporting you in developing strategies to assist you in feeling peace and clarity so that taking the next steps will be less overwhelming. Once you have clarity and focus creating change becomes easier.
I often utilize complimentary therapies in addition to other traditional therapeutic modalities. I am Certified In Emotional Freedom Techniques or Tapping, a Level II Reiki Practitioner, a Tameana practitioner, and a student of Guided Imagery and Meditation, and I will often use these therapies in addition to talk therapy if it feels right to you as the client. These practices are helpful in releasing stress and emotional blocks.
I also work with clients that need support in recovery from addictions or compulsive behaviors, that are in life transitions, or need support in developing a healthier lifestyle. I support clients that are in the beginning stages of change and are looking for assistance in taking next steps, or that may be struggling with relapse prevention. If you have struggled with addiction and have gone through a treatment program, you will know that staying abstinent once you get to your home environment is totally different and includes challenges that you may need support overcoming.
